After-School Teacher
The aftercare part-time teachers at Rivertree Academy will provide biblically-based, inspiring instruction that establishes a joyful learning environment, maximizes individual student achievement, and engages children to help them develop cognitively, socially, emotionally, physically, morally, and spiritually.
BASIC FUNCTION
# Duty / Responsibility (List of primary duties performed)
Be excited to share a passion for learning and assist children and their families
Communicate with the Aftercare Coordinator about homework requirements from a selected group of students.
Deliver the highest-quality educational services in reading, mathematics, writing, and other content areas in a small group environment
Support students with high accuracy homework completion
Implement academic enrichment activities in a small group environment
Tracking student progress on homework completion and content mastery
Support students with habits demonstrating Christ-like character and behaviors
Adhere to all school requirements regarding the use of building facilities
Participate in training and professional development for job responsibilities (including content knowledge, curriculum needs, teacher homework expectations, etc.)
Participate in parent conferences as needed
Manage small group supplies
Assure that after school snacks are properly administered and associated documentation is accurately provided
Perform the duties and responsibilities of the program staff as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum work experience and education required or equivalent combination):
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of reading and mathematics at an elementary school level.
