Position Title: Facilities Coordinator

Reports To: Head of Lower Elementary

Location: Fort Worth, TX

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but other duties may be assigned.

FACILITIES AND REAL ESTATE:

  • Maintains complete responsibility and oversight of day-to-day operations of campus facilities, ensuring that all services are effectively delivered and facility needs are met including custodial, life-safety, engineering, and general maintenance.

  • Responsible for the cost-effective management of service contracts, including maintenance agreements, equipment replacement, and vehicle repairs.

  • Responsible for equipment repairs and replacements, request delivery method of new purchases, and assuring payments and invoicing match contract pricing.

  • Responsible for managing landscaping contractors to maintain safe and clean campuses and to ensure other Rivertree-owned properties remain in city code compliance.

  • Management of facility preparation for special events (equipment setup and breakdowns); Reviews event logistics for large events with event leader to ensure proper traffic flow, etc.

  • Continue to develop and keep current comprehensive Facility Manual to support continuity of school operations in unforeseen circumstances. Cross train team members where applicable.

  • Oversee major real estate projects including (but not limited to) house demolitions, major home repair projects, or communication with contractors for leasehold improvements. Under Board and Head of School direction and in cooperation with finance department, manages any property purchases or sales.

  • Management of the relationship with school real-estate property manager. This includes approving minor repairs, lease renewals, and decisions regarding payments and evictions.

  • Maintain current knowledge of facilities standards related to various regulatory entities (Health Department, Fire Department, City of Fort Worth, Texas Health and Human Services – Child Care Licensing, Accrediting entities (ACSI & Cognia) and ensure that campuses remain in compliance.

  • In cooperation with School leadership, plans and leads process of packing and storing of curriculum, furniture, technology from all classrooms at the conclusion of the school year. Ensures that classrooms and campuses are prepared for teachers to return at start of August staff training. Supports teachers with facility requests to prepare individual classrooms for the school year.

  • Serves as the staff member on the Board of Directors facilities committee.

TRANSPORTATION

  • Manages fleet of Rivertree-owned vehicles in good working condition.

  • Responsible for training of all drivers of Rivertree vehicles and ensuring proper safety protocols are in place and are consistently being practiced.

GENERAL

  • Be a visible and highly engaged leader in the school community.

  • Be highly present and visible during school hours relentlessly ensuring a positive school environment and modeling and enforcing Godly behavior and disposition.

  • Be flexible and adaptable while maintaining a calm demeanor. The manner that a leader handles unexpected challenges influences the entire team response to a great degree.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum work experience and education required or equivalent combination):

  • Minimum of 3 years of managing a campus environment or multiple building experience required 

  • Minimum of facilities management experience
